What We Do

Brickhouse Body Art Institute offers comprehensive tattooing and body piercing programs in Arkansas. The school’s instructors are highly skilled and have years of experience in the industry. BBAI’s programs provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to become successful tattoo artists or body piercers.

We’ve created a safe, welcoming space that is far from stereotypical, crude tattoo studios. Our goal is to educate through reading, observation, and hands-on learning and change the industry for the better!

❋ Flexible Program

The tattoo and body piercing programs at BBAI are flexible because we understand that everyone is different and has their own unique schedules. You won’t have to quit your day job to go to school at BBAI, and your school schedule can be up to you.

❋ Hands-On Experience

Unlike stereotypical tattoo studios, there’s no “hazing” or “coffee-getting” here. Your time here is spent wisely, and we put you right to work so you can start getting hands-on experience as soon as possible.

❋ Safe Space

BBAI is a safe space for all and all are welcome. We take pride in the welcoming environment we’ve built here and want to ensure all students and clients feel comfortable in the studio.

❋ Clean Facility

We take safety seriously, and all our artists are trained on bloodborne pathogens as well as sterilization procedures to ensure the protection of the canvas and the artist throughout every tattoo or body piercing session. We strive to exceed industry standards

What’s Our Goal?

Our goal is to change the tattoo industry for the better and remove the negative stigma that surrounds it. We take pride in having a safe, sterile environment where anyone can feel welcome.

We only want the best learning experience for our students. Our instructors will work with you, get to know you, and implement the best teaching practices to ensure you get the most out of your tattoo education.

About Our Tattoo Program

Mainstream tattooing uses a wide variety of needles including liners, shaders and mags, to insert ink permanently into the skin. The ink is applied with the intention of creating long lasting art with the use of vibrant colors, black, white and grey ink. In this course, everything from technical line work to art that covers an entire limb will be covered.

In this course, you will learn tattooing skills of a tattoo artist such as needle depth, needle theory, tattoo and body placement, drawing skills, and how to execute a full scale tattoo from tray setup to tear down. By the end of this course, you will know the difference between a technical line artist, a tattoo artist, and a permanent makeup artist.

This course will teach you about tattoo 101, tattoo cover ups, fixing existing tattoos, needle theory and how to interact with clients.
