Testimonials

  • "I recently graduated from APCI and am so happy I chose this school for my permanent cosmetics education. They truly care about each student and their success. The entire team is constantly going out of their way to help ensure that we understand all of the ins and outs of PMU. I now feel confident going out on my own because of the knowledge I've acquired here. There was a great mix of online and in person training, which made it flexible for people like me who do not live nearby. If you are looking for places to go for permanent cosmetics school/training, stop here, and go ahead and sign yourself up!"

  • "Literally the scariest/best thing I've ever done for myself and I can't wait to start! The commute was 3 hours one way and I couldn't afford a hotel room so I slept in the backseat of my car in the Walmart parking lot. When some faculty members found out they opened the doors to me in their home... I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to tell anyone this and I am in hopes that it will light a fire under someone's ass to better themselves! All successful people have failed, the only difference is they kept going after all of their fails...never give up on yourself, you're worth it and you'll never know what you can accomplish if you don't try, but more importantly FINISH that one thing you set out to do! Huge thank you to Darren Taylor, Christine Taylor, Cindy Nelson, Cotie Ann Evridge, and all of your supportive staff for helping us learn how to set us a business ourselves and for giving us the skills to do it!"

  • "Best decision I've made in a long time!"

  • It is the micro-implantation of pigment into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features.

  • It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. Only specialists in micro-pigmentation can perform this procedure on the face; tattoo artists cannot. APCI uses techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micro-pigmentation procedures, making it safe, and sterile. Permanent makeup clinicians also use effective topical anesthetics that are not used by tattoo artists. APCI uses instruments much more delicate in design that provide natural-looking results.

  • At APCI, the procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges and with digitally controlled implantation devices. Short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness. It is uncommon to experience any long-term side effects.

  • A licensed artist takes approximately 2.5 hours. We allot an additional 2 hours for student procedures. These times are approximate and could take more or less time depending on the type of procedure and each client.

  • Once the best brow shape for you has been decided, any hair within that shape can stay and will only make the work look more natural. Any hair outside the shape can be waxed or tweezed just as you would normally do with your normal brow maintenance.

  • Unlike tattooing or some permanent makeup salons, APCI uses topical anesthetics that are highly effective to be applied to the treated area which significantly reduces discomfort. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed.

  • No! Permanent Cosmetics is its own license and doesn’t require any other licenses to get started! The requirements that need to be met prior to enrollment is that you are 18+ years of age, have a valid government-issued ID, and have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

“It’s a human thing.”

APCI is committed to providing the highest quality permanent cosmetics education in the state of Arkansas through comprehensive, hands-on and online curriculum with no prerequisites required.
