It is the micro-implantation of pigment into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features.
-
It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. Only specialists in micro-pigmentation can perform this procedure on the face; tattoo artists cannot. APCI uses techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micro-pigmentation procedures, making it safe, and sterile. Permanent makeup clinicians also use effective topical anesthetics that are not used by tattoo artists. APCI uses instruments much more delicate in design that provide natural-looking results.
-
At APCI, the procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges and with digitally controlled implantation devices. Short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness. It is uncommon to experience any long-term side effects.
-
A licensed artist takes approximately 2.5 hours. We allot an additional 2 hours for student procedures. These times are approximate and could take more or less time depending on the type of procedure and each client.
-
Once the best brow shape for you has been decided, any hair within that shape can stay and will only make the work look more natural. Any hair outside the shape can be waxed or tweezed just as you would normally do with your normal brow maintenance.
-
Unlike tattooing or some permanent makeup salons, APCI uses topical anesthetics that are highly effective to be applied to the treated area which significantly reduces discomfort. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed.
-
No! Permanent Cosmetics is its own license and doesn’t require any other licenses to get started! The requirements that need to be met prior to enrollment is that you are 18+ years of age, have a valid government-issued ID, and have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
“It’s a human thing.”
